Team Vicar – The Reverend Marja Flipse.
My journey to All Saints’ Llandaff North was a long and interesting one! It took me from my hometown of Goes in the Netherlands to the University of Leiden, where I got my MA in Theology, via the University of St Andrews in Scotland and Westcott House theological college in Cambridge, to Wales, where I worked as a pastoral assistant in the Benefice of Canton. I trained at St Michael’s College, Llandaff, got an MPhil (all about the role of music in worship), was made Deacon in 2008 and ordained Priest in 2009, and served my curacies in the Parish of Roath, Cardiff, and the Parish of Newton Nottage, Porthcawl. On 25 February 2014 I was licensed as Team Vicar in the Rectorial Benefice of Whitchurch with special responsibility for Llandaff North.
I am married to Gareth, who is an accountant and likes books almost as much as I do. We both love sushi, sing in the Welsh Camerata, and play music – Gareth plays the bassoon, and I play the recorder, viol, harpsichord, piano and clarinet.
